Nellie C. Johnson, 86, passed away peacefully at home on September 5, 2013 in Yuma, Arizona. She was born on January 11, 1927 in Yuma. Nellie attended schools in Yuma. She worked, married and raised her family in Yuma. She was the youngest of five children. She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church and enjoyed playing cards, reading, crossword puzzles and spending time with her family. Nellie was the rock of her family and will be dearly missed. Nellie is survived by sons, Joseph Ramirez, Michael Ramirez, daughter, Roberta Ramirez and sister, Theresa Ramirez. Nellie was blessed with seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 41 years, George Johnson and her daughter, Alberta Ramirez. Pallbearers will be Joseph, Michael, Zachery, Jordon, Steve, and Mark Ramirez. Visitation will be held at Johnson Mortuary on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 from 5-9p.m. Funeral Services will be Thursday September 12, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Desert Lawn Memorial Park.
