Myron A. Davis, 94PARKER CITY - Myron A. Davis, 94, of Parker City and formerly of Winchester, passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2016 at the Parker Health Care in Parker City. He was born on June 20, 1922 in Petroleum, IN to Carl and Esther Marie (Dunwiddie) Davis.  He was a 1940 graduate of Petroleum High School and a WW II Army veteran, serving in Italy and Northern Africa. He owned Davis Optical Co. in Winchester for over forty years and was a member of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.  He had served on the White River Twp. Advisory Board and did trophy engraving after he retired.  He also loved to go fishing.Survivors include four children, Jimmie (wife, Lynne) Davis of Modoc, Marcia (husband, Bud) Sproul of New Bern, NC, Duane (wife, Connie) Davis of Huntington and Susan (husband, Mike) Shuter of Frankton; eight grandchildren, Dr. Julie (companion, Jean Smith) Davis of Economy, Christy (husband, Guy) Guthrie of Kenansville, NC, Joel (wife, Cindy) Davis of Parker City, Brian (wife, Sarah) Shuter of Frankton, Ben (wife, Gretchen) Davis of Westfield, Luke (companion, Lindsey Bishop) Davis of Dunkirk, Patrick (wife, Sara) Shuter of Anderson and Kate Skelley of Simpsonville, SC; eleven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Louis P. Davis and two sisters, an infant and Wanetta Roush.Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Walker Funeral Home in Winchester with Rev. Jan Bunch officiating.  Burial will follow in New Liberty Cemetery near Lynn.Friends and relatives may call from 4-8 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Mt.
