Mildred (Dailey) Snyder-Moore95, passed away November 6, 2016. Mildred was born on April 4, 1921 in Seymour, Indiana to Altus and Vivian (Conway) Dailey. Mildred worked for IU University, School of Dentistry, retired in 1986; she was a member of the NinetyNines, a non-profit organization established in 1929 by 99 women licensed pilots for support and advancement in aviation; a 70 year member/leader of the Girl Scouts of America; a member of the Order of Eastern Star; she was inducted into the International Forest of Friendship in Atchison, Kansas a living, growing memorial to the world history of aviation and aerospace. She was a member of the Garfield Christian Church; and the Avon Christian Church. In Carmel was visited weekly by Minister Lloyd Moore from United Family Wesleyan church in Cicero, Indiana. She was an artist, caterer and enjoyed camping, reading, playing cards with her friends and family. Lived in Avon, IN, in 2011 resided at Sunrise Independent Living on Ole Meridian, then her son's home in Carmel.Preceding her in death, were husbands John H. Snyder, Sr. (d-1972); Elbert "Archie" Moore (d-1995); son, Gene C. Snyder; (d-2003); grandson, John H. Snyder, Ill (d-1988); brothers Conway Dailey; Lester Dailey; and sister, Dorothy Apple. Also survived by her son, John H. Snyder, Jr. (Cynthia Kay) three grandchildren, David Snyder (Molly) CO., Robert Snyder (Holly) AZ, Kimberly Carey (Marc) Sheridan, IN; brother Jim Dailey, Crothersville; sister-in-law Lillian Dailey, Carmel; six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.Her remains were donated to the Indiana University School of Science for research. The family appreciates your friendships and love expressed to such a wonderful lady during her life here on earth. Now she is enjoying her eternal life. There will be no calling or services at this time. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to The Girl Scouts of America.
