Bumpus, Michael Wayne 62, formerly of Wichita, passed away Saturday, January 16, 2016, at Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith, AR. He was born on July 2, 1953 in Shawnee County, KS. He was a Professional Chef. He was the orginial founding Chef for the RED Beans Bayou Grille and JayBees Family Dining, formerly in Wichita. He was an Avid New England Patriots fan. He is survived by two daughters, Desiree Vurpillatte and husband, Jim of Hanson, MA and Musette Kyranos of Hanson, MA; two brothers, Henry Bumpus and wife, Beth of Monument Beach, MA and Jerry Bumpus and wife, Deborah of Wichita, KS; and three grandchildren, Haydon, Calliegh and James. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry E. and Helen N. (Smith) Bumpus and a brother, Richard Bumpus. Cremation is under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home in Fort Smith, AR.
