This is truly a sad day of the passing of such an amazing man. I use the word man because the word has lost its meaning in today's society. Michael was more than the noun, but the verb. Overcoming several obstacles in life, he not only gave himself the life he always wanted, but a life for his wife, Cathy (deceased), and four children.
After high school, MIchael enlisted in the United States Navy, where he served for over 25 years. In his naval career, he was able to travel all over the world, from the Philippines to Spain, and from London to Ecuador. After his retirement from the Navy, Michael knew his time serving our country was not over. He applied to work for the National Security Agency, and from his impressive military background, was obviously hired.
In his spare time, Michael enjoyed spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He also had a special place in his heart for serving the greater community. Every year he and his wife would dress up as Mr. & Mrs. Claus and go with children to the airport to surprise them as their parents would return from tours of active duty. Michael also loved history and trains.
Although Michael's time on this earth has ended he has truly left an impacting memory that will continue in the lives of those he loved forever. He is remembered by his children, Michelle, Michael, Marie, Monica; and his grandchildren, David, Alex, Carmen, Mikey, Sadey, Jordan, and Reita. In lui of gifts, the family asks that all donation be given to your local homeless veteran services.
You can to the family or in memory of Michael Broskovich.
