He was born on September 1, 1951 in Bardstown to the late Joseph Leo and Helen Clements Wathen. Michael was a retired employee of General Electric working in the warehouse, an avid UK and Harley Davidson fan and member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church.He is survived by his wife Judy Gayle Peters Wathen, son, Robert Andrew Wathen of Bardstown, He is also survived by 2 granddaughters, Drew and Simi Wathen of Bardstown.Mass of Christian burial will be Thursday, February 9, 2017 at 10:00am at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Shepherdsville with Reverend Brian Kenney celebrant. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2:00-8:00pm with evening prayers and after 8:00am Thursday at Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home, 1475 New Shepherdsville Road, Bardstown who is in charge of arrangements.
