Michael K. Tibbett, 54Wingate - Michael K. Tibbett, age 54, of rural Wingate, died as the result of a single vehicle accident, early Saturday, December 6, 2014 on Mountain Road in Fountain County. He was born on March 22, 1960 in Danville, IL, son of Terry and Patricia Clarkston Tibbett and they survive in Covington.Mike graduated from Covington High School in 1978. He was a 'steak cook' at The Beef House of Covington for ten years. The past 29 years he was employed with RR Donnelley & Co. as a pressman. Mike was an avid outdoorsman, sportsman, member of the NRA, Moose Lodge of Crawfordsville and an avid NASCAR fan. He was a great friend and always willing to help anyone.Surviving along with his parents Terry and Pat Tibbett of Covington are a daughter, Nicole Tibbett of Dulin, MO, and son, Adam Tibbett of Piggott, AK; a brother, Tom (Holly) Tibbett of Lafayette, his sister and 'best friend,' Peggy Munro of Waynetown; four grandchildren, Gage, James, Braxton and Bristol; nieces, Chelsea and Daytona Tibbett, nephews, Dylan Tibbett and Michael Munro. Many uncles, aunts and cousins also survive. He was previously married to Cheryl Dulin, they divorced. Preceding him in death were his grandparentsVisitation will be noon-2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 13, 2014 at Family and Friends Funeral Home of Wingate. Funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Rod Overpeck officiating. Cremation will follow the service and he will be inurned at Mount Hope Cemetery at a later date.
