Michael D. Garrot1990-2015Michael D'Rone Garrot was born on July 31st, 1990 in Houston Texas. Michael passed away on Wednesday, October 7th, 2015. Michael is survived by his parents, Brenda and Paul Garrot; brother Reginald Malveaux and wife Nicoya, their children Jace, Joelle and Jacob ; Grandmothers Lee Ester Arvie and Leslie R. Garrot; his God Mother Kenosha (Shay ) Ben as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. Michael is preceded in death by his Grandfathers, Lester Arvie Jr. and George M. Garrot.Michael graduated with honors from Alief Hasting High School in 2009. He was a four year member of the Hastings swimming team. Michael had a natural ability and a passion for the arts. He was currently enrolled at the Art Institute of Houston to study Interior Design.Michael had a quick wit and a keen sense of humor. He had a great eye for fashion and had the wardrobe to prove it. Michael also had a great talent for cooking that started early in his life. As a young child he would help is "Mamaw" in the kitchen instead of playing outside with his cousins on trips home to the farm in Louisiana. Through the years, we've all had some incredible dishes that Michael had prepared. There were never any leftovers.We have a void in our hearts that can never be filled, but our love for our baby boy will never cease and we will cherish the day we are all together again.The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Saturday, October 17th, 2015, at the Schmidt Funeral Home Grand Parkway Chapel, 1344 W.
