Melvin Evan WalkerMilford, UtahMelvin Evan Walker, 66, passed away on August 13, 2017 in Milford, UT. He was born on March 9, 1951, in Cedar City, UT, to Melvin and Rhoda Walker. He graduated from Milford High School, where he participated in football. Melvin joined the Utah National Guard Search and Rescue and served in Beaver County. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Melvin enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening. He was employed with the Union Pacific Railroad for 25 years.Melvin is survived by his wife, Ginger Walker; his children: Melanie Ann (Karl Chavarria) Walker of Vancouver, WA and Daniel Walker of Lincoln NB; his step-children: Jackie Daly of WA, Julie Taylor of Las Vegas, NV and Leslie (Ryan) Sullivan of Las Vegas, NV; his grandchildren: Meadoe Watson, Shai Walker, Genevieve Riley, Sean Riley, Shane Sullivan, Kyle Sullivan, Max Sullivan, Luke Sullivan, Devon Walker, Jade Walker; his nephew Chet Carter of Las Vegas, NV and niece Christy Carter (Chad) Blomquist, (great niece and nephews) Jaxon Osborn, Asia (Osborn), Hoyt, Tyge, Axel and Lux Blomquist, of Minersville, UT; and his sister Shanna (Lyle) Carter of Minersville, UT.. He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Rhoda Walker, his grandparents: Jessie Moroni Walker, Katherine Anna Walker, Charles Allen Huntington, and Jane Margaret Huntington.Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at the Mt. View Cemetery. A viewing will be held prior on Saturday, August 19, 2017 from 11:00-12:30 pm at the Beaver Southern Utah Mortuary (195 North 200 West, Beaver, UT). Interment will be at the Mt.
