Mavis McQuaid Lawler, 69 of Huntersville, NC passed away on December 16, 2016 at her residence. She was born on December 11, 1947 in Ashington, England and was the daughter of the late John and Bell McQuaid. She is survived by her husband and best friend of 23 years, Daniel Lawler; her children, Heath Hankinson (Tammy), and Chloe Hankinson (Katie); her step-children Amber Shelpman (Bret), and Heather Lawler; her grandchildren, Emma, Matthew, Tatum and Harper. Mavis was recently retired from an outstanding career as a cost estimator in the door and hardware industry. She was a great cook, avid reader and enjoyed family, friends, travel, golf, tennis, and was a longtime Steelers fan. Her unique spirit will help carry her family forever.
