Mattie Green was born in Star City Arkansas to the parents of Marion and Emma Green. She was the baby of the bunch. Later she relocated to Oakland California where she gave birth to her children, Barbara and Reynard. In 2010, she moved to Dallas Texas to be with her grandchildren.

In her spare time Mattie enjoyed watching wrestling and baseball. Her hobbies were crocheting and word search puzzles. If you wanted to hear the truth, she gave it but later would give you her very last. 

Mattie preceded her parents and siblings in death. She left the following members of her family to live out her legacy: two children, Barbara and Reynard, both of Oakland. Her grandchildren: LaMecca, Tamika, Anthony and DeVonte. Great grandchildren: Day, LaMariana, Asia, Lashay and Jeremiah. Great great grandchildren (GG’s babies) Kaden & Bryson.

Her laugh, personality, transparency and giving heart has been her gift to all that came in contact with her. She will truly be missed.
