Maskey Martin Heath, 70, of Salinas passed away Saturday, Dec. 12, 2015 at home in Salinas with his wife Paula and 3 beloved dogs. 

Maskey was born to Marion D Heath and Avadel Heath on July 30, 1945 in Alameda, CA. Maskey went to grade school in Watsonville, CA and High School in Lakeport, CA. Maskey"s parents had a Propane Business which he grew up in and parents sold in later years. Early in his career he worked for Delta Gas, Coast Gas, moving on to join his brother Milton E. Heath in business in the 60's in Nevada County, CA known as Loma Linda Gas and later changed name back to their fathers company name Superior Propane. Superior Propane had become one of the larger Independent Propane Retailers in CA. The company was sold in the mid 90's.Maskey and wife Paula remained in the propane industry leasing tanks throughout the U.S. In 2004 Maskey and Paula purchased Pacific Propane in Monterey County, CA. Maskey had over 50 years' experience in the industry and loved every bit of it.

Maskey belonged to many Organizations: Free & Accepted Masons of CA Lodge 13/Past Master, Ben Ali Shriners, Royal Arch Masons #6, Cryptic Mason's Council#62, Nev. Commandery# 6, Eastern Star, Native Sons/Quartz #58, Rotary/Past president of the breakfast Club, two twelve step programs of recovery, and Nevada City Elks #518

He was a member of Compass Church in Salinas.

Maskey was preceded in death by his father, Marion D Heath and his mother, Avadel Heath, sister in law's Carolyn Heath and Ellen G Heath.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years Paula Heath, children, Beverly Metcalf, Bryan (Cecelia) Heath, Maskey Heath, William Heath, and Shaleen (David) Holland , brother, Milton E Heath, brother in law, Glen Burton, sister in laws, Denise Kalb, Roxanna Rist, and Rosanne Littlejohn, father in law, William C Burton, and, numerous nieces and nephews.
