Maloney, MaryMarian Maloney, 86, of Town of Scott, beloved wife of the late Michael A. Maloney, passed away at her own residence peacefully, with one final tear of love as she looked to her family, on Thursday, February 9, 2017 surrounded by her family. Marian was born on October 14, 1930, in Chicago, IL, daughter of the late Walter and Agnes (Dombrowski) Marchut. She grew up in Chicago until her family relocated to Green Bay's West Side when she was 15 years old. She eventually graduated from Green Bay West High School in 1948. She was then heavily pursued by Michael Maloney who thought she was "The most beautiful girl in the world" which she married in January of 1950. They raised seven beautiful children together. She spent her life raising her family and eventually worked for 22 years as "the famous" greeter at Walmart East. She loved going out dancing and listening to her oldest Son's bands throughout the years and encouraged and supported all of her children's talents. She started a Bridge Club with Pat Atkinson and many of her close friends. She was a former member of the Altar Society for Holy Cross Parish, 4-H Leader, CCD, and the PTA. In her spare time she enjoyed Interior Decorating, shopping and entertaining with her beloved grandchildren. Marian will be remembered as an elegant, beautiful, and well dressed lady, who was known for her many hats. Her memory will live on with her 6 children: Michael (Pam Pride) Maloney Jr., Colleen Maloney, Kathleen Maloney, Timothy (Chris Wade) Maloney, Mary (Scott) Maloney-Innes, and Kelly (Kimberly) Maloney. Marian also leaves 15 beloved grandchilden and numerous great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her son, Patrick Maloney, and her sister, Evelyn Marchut.Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 18th 2 - 5 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 340 S. Monroe Avenue, Green Bay. A memorial service celebrating Marian's life will follow at 5 PM in the funeral home with Pastor Mark Cox officiating. In honor of Marian the family encourages those attending to wear a "hat" in her memory to both the visitation and service. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery privately. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful staff of Unity Hospice especially John for the care and compassion they and Marian received.
