Mary Louise Cline, 84, of Salinas, passed away Thursday, October 16, 2014. She was born on July 19, 1930 in Clifton, Kansas. Mary Lou was born and raised in Kansas. As an army wife she and her family traveled to many places and eventually settled in Salinas, California 44 years ago. She was a well respected and beloved elementary school teacher and retired after 30 years of teaching at San Carlos School in Monterey CA. Mary Lou enjoyed the time she spent working as a Pink Lady at Memorial Hospital, playing bridge with her friends, and following her favorite sports teams. Her grandchildren whom she was so proud of will lovingly remember her as a SF Giants loving, joke cracking, feisty Grandma. She was preceded in death by her husband James F. Cline Sr., her son John Matthew Cline and parents John and Louise Sinnott. Mary Lou is survived by her sister Carolyn (Dan) Blodgett of Denver, CO; daughters, Peggy (Chris) Young of Lafayette, CA, Patty (Clyde) Jeska of Salinas, CA, Mary (John) German of Arvada, CO; sons James Cline, Jr., Denver CO, Mike (Lisa) Cline of Salinas, CA, Tom (Russie) Cline of Arroyo Grande, CA; 1 nephew, 16 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
