Mary L. Smith92, of Kokomo, passed away at 4:45 a.m. on February 26, 2017 at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital. She was born on December 30, 1924 in Folsomville, IN to William Rome and Theota (Leslie) Perigo. On December 24, 1943, Mary traveled to Lansing, Michigan during World War II to marry J.O. Smith. He passed away on August 11, 2008.Survivors include one daughter Rita K. (Windell) Stevens of Kokomo; three sons Monte D. (Rita) Smith of Angola, IN, Stanley B. (Amrit) Smith of San Antonio, TX, Paul J. (Kathy) Smith of Mims, Fl; five grandchildren ; nine great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.Mary was preceded in death by her parents Rome and Theota Perigo; husband J.O. Smith ; one brother Rome Homer Perigo; one sister Lucy Elizabeth Perigo Houghland.Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Stout & Son Funeral Home, 200 East Main St. Russiaville with Pastor Mark Deckinga officiating. Burial will be at 1 p.m. CST Sunday, March 5 at Maple Grove Cemetery in Boonville, IN.
