Mary Louis Tigert Hendry passed away September 7, 2011 in Kingwood, Texas. She was born on March 9, 1932 in Omaha, Texas to Johnnie William Tigert and Annie Lucille Davis Tigert. She graduated salutatorian in 1949 from Omaha High School and married Robert Hendry in 1965. They lived together for 46 years in Dallas, San Antonio and Houston, Texas where she leaves many loved ones. She is preceded in death by her brother, John William Tigert, and survived by her loving children John Robert Cook, Paul Wayne Cook, Charles Anthony Cook, Leslie Hendry, Wendy Hopkins, son-in-law Guy Hopkins, Jr., 13 grandchildren including Brittany Hopkins Pratt, Morgan Hopkins, Ella Hopkins, 15 great-grandchildren, and two Persian cats, Red and Blue. In lieu of flowers, Mary undoubtedly would appreciate any donation to Citizens for Animal Protection.
