Mary Jo Huter8/22/1924 - 6/16/2015Mary Jo, 90, passed away on June 16, 2015 of natural causes at St. Luke's Hospital, Meridian. She was born on August 22, 1924 in Montpelier, Idaho to Harry A. and Agnes Shafer. She graduated from Caldwell High School in 1942. She was married to Elmer Huter on March 22, 1946. They had 3 children together. She is survived by her son, Mike (Randalin); grandson, Matt (Allison); grandchildren, Shay Abigail, William Edward, Owen David and Livy Claire of Gurley, Alabama. Her son, Dan (Judy); grandson, Brad (Kim); great-grandchild Derrick. Her daughter, Sandy; grandson, Eric Drees; grandchildren, Madelyn and Carson. She is preceded in death by her husband, Elmer; sister, Patsy Hoagland; brothers, Bob Shafer and Jay Shafer.The family lived in Fruitland for 20 years and then moved to Nampa where Mary Jo worked for Lloyd's Country Store in Nampa for 29 years. She was a devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed playing Bingo, Pinochle and Cribbage. She was an avid football, basketball and baseball fan. She loved camping and fishing. She enjoyed volunteering and helping at the Nampa Elks and the Starkey Picnics. A graveside service will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell on Monday, June 22, 2015 at 10:00am.
