Churubusco — mary lois edwards, 83, a lifelong resident of noble county, died wednesday, dec. 14, 2016 at 6:30 p.m., at north ridge village nursing home. She was born on feb. 12, 1933 in noble county, to ebony and ada (haney) Bair. On sept. 17, 1960 she was married in massachusetts to edward edwards. Mrs. Edwards spent her formative years in green township and graduated from churubusco high school. She was a member of merriam christian chapel church. Mrs. Edwards worked as an assistant to dr. Roth and dr. Lucky at the lucky hospital in wolf lake. She also worked as a lunch lady in the wolf lake elementary school cafeteria. She is survived by her son ,craig edwards of albion; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, ralph, paul and lynn bair; and two sisters, nora jane bair and pauline delanoy. Services will be held on monday at 10 a.m. At merriam christian chapel church. Burial will be in the christian chapel cemetery in merriam. Calling will be sunday from 2-5 p.m. At sheets and childs funeral home, churubusco, or one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be directed to heartland hospice.
