LAGRANGE — Mary Jane Dickinson, 94, of LaGrange, Ind., died Sunday, March 30, 2014, at Parkview LaGrange Hospital. Mrs. Dickinson was born on October 20, 1914, in Fort Wayne, Ind., to Oscar and Gladys (Stewart) Ebey. In 1947, she moved to LaGrange County from Wolf Lake, Ind. She worked from 1955 until 1976 in the meat department at the Wolcottville IGA. She was a member of the Wolcottville United Methodist Church in Wolcottville, Ind., and the Naomi Circle at the church. She had been a volunteer for many years at the LaGrange County Clothes and Food Basket. On November 20, 1947 in Albion, Ind., she married Lewis H. Dickinson. He preceded her in death on March 17, 2008. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Kris Dickinson of LaGrange, Ind.; two grandsons and their wives, Brent N. and Bethany Dickinson of LaFayette, Ind., and Jason D. and CiJai Dickinson of Wolcottville, Ind.; two great-grandsons, Malachi Lewis Dickinson and Wyatt Clement Dickinson; a sister, Margaret Murphy of Columbia City, Ind.; and a brother, Ottnel Ebey of Wolcottville, Ind. Also preceding her in death were four sisters and two brothers. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 4, 2014, at 10 a.m. at Frurip-May Funeral Home, 309 W. Michigan St., LaGrange, Ind., with the Rev. Denise Heller officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery in Wolcottville, Ind. Visitation will take place on Thursday, April 3, 2014, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Wolcottville United Methodist Church.
