Cary, Mary C.Mary Catherine Cary, age 95, of Greenbush, WI, passed away on January 7, 2017, at the Waterford in Plymouth.She was born on September 20, 1921, in Johnsburg, WI, daughter of the late Joseph and Laurinda (Kohlman) Gilles.She attended Johnsburg Catholic Grade School and graduated from Glenbeulah High School in 1937.On September 16, 1940, she married Elwyn Cary in Oconto Falls, WI. He preceded her in death on December 25, 2002.Mary worked for many years at Heritage Insurance (now known as Acuity Insurance) and later at the Wade House in Greenbush.Mary was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Elkhart Lake and a former member of St. Fridolin Catholic Church in Glenbeulah, where she belonged to the Christian Mother Society and also taught C.C.D. for many years. She was also a member of the American Legion Post # 484 Women Auxiliary.She farmed in the Greenbush area for most of her life and really enjoyed the people that she met throughout her life.Mary is survived by three children: Sharon (Robert) Limberg, Orlene (Walter) Phipps, and Dale (Ruth) Cary all of Greenbush; 13 Grandchildren; and 12 Great-grandchildren. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.She was preceded in death by her husband: Elwyn; grandson: Walter; two brothers: Walter (Frances) Gilles and Robert (Angie) Gilles; and sister: Ruth (Joseph) Patrick.Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday (January 16, 2017) at 11:00 A.M. at St. Fridolin Catholic Church in Glenbeulah. Father Dennis Van Beek will officiate. Burial will be in the Greenbush Cemetery.Visitation will take place at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth on Sunday (January 15, 2017) from 1:00 - 3:30 P.M. and will continue at CHURCH on Monday (January 16, 2017) from 9:30 A.M. until the time of Mass at 11:00 A.M.In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Mary's name.The Suchon Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Plymouth is serving the family.
