Mary Ann Chavez, 61, a longtime resident of Sena passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012, at her residence in Sena. She was born on Aug. 5, 1951 in Holly, Colo., to the late Macario Sena and Bersabella Manzanares- Sena.She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, mother-in-law, aunt, cousin and friend. She worked as a CNA for several home health agencies. She provided childcare for many different families, including her own grandchildren. She was a former Eucharistic Minister at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church.She was preceded in death by her parents: Macario and Bersabella Sena; her maternal grandparents whom raised her: Geronimo Manzanares and Simoncita Manzanares; husband: Raymond Chavez; sisters: Elvina Romero and Alice Villanueva; brothers: Enrique Sena, Selustrano Sena and Raymond Sena; and infant daughter: Adelina Chavez.She is survived by her daughters: Ramona Montoya and husband Gabriel, Denise Manzanarez and husband Michael; son: Simon Sena and wife Tara; 15 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother: Carmel Sena; mother-in-law: Mercedes Gallegos; sisters-in-law: Flora Vance and husband Paul; Esther Chavez and friend Sam Garcia, Connie Gallegos and husband Anthony Apollo; brother-in-law: Ernest Chavez; very special friend: Sara Sandoval; family pets: Tiny, Bubbles, and Deanie. Being that she was raised by her grandparents she has many cousins she considered as brothers and sisters. Also surviving her are numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.Rosary devotional services were held at 6 p.m. on Thursday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Villanueva.Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Villanueva with Father Ronald Stone as celebrant. Interment will be at Sena Cemetery in Sena with the following serving as casket bearers: Steven Sena, Anthony Manzanares, Samuel Sena, Richard Montoya, Antony Vigil, Timothy Sena and Paul Vance.
