Marshall L. KahlerMarshall L. Kahler, 36, of Lafayette, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 28, 2016. He was born on May 23, 1980 in Kokomo, IN to Tom and Marcia (See) Kahler.  After high school, Marshall earned his bachelor's degree from Indiana University. His marriage was to Misti D. Rhodes on May 9, 2012 in Michigan City, IN.  She survives. Before moving to Lafayette in 2014, Marshall had lived in Demotte, IN.  He worked as a Sales Consultant for TK Construction for 11 years.  He enjoyed playing and watching basketball and watching UFC matches. Marshall is survived by his wife, Misti Kahler; father and step-mother, Tom and Sabrina Kahler of Marion, IN; his three year old daughter, Allison L. Kahler of Lafayette;  step-son, Hunter K. Russell of West Lafayette; two step-daughters, Kelsea J. Russell of Lafayette, and Mackenzie R. Russell of Lowell, IN; brother, Clinton Kahler of Arizona; sister, Laura Kahler of Oregon; step-brother Eric Creech of Marion, IN; step-sister, Tabitha Creech of Marion, IN; niece, Brooke Creech; and two nephews, Isaac Creech and Riley Brewer. He is preceded in death by his mother, Marcia Kahler; brother, Dusty Kahler; grandmother, Gwen L. Kahler; and grandfather, Melvin L. Kahler. Visitation will be held from 5-8 pm, Friday, December 2, 2016 at Hippensteel Funeral Home.  Funeral service will be at the funeral home at 10 am, Saturday, December 3, 2016 with Celebrant Amanda Atkins officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lafayette Bank & Trust, donations made payable to Allison Kahler, to be used for Allison's College Fund.  Share memories and condolences online at www.hippensteelfuneralservice.com
