Weber, Marlene M.Marlene M. Weber, 65, Marshfield, passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, March 27, 2017 at St. John's Catholic Church, Marshfield, with Rev. Samuel Martin officiating. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. The visitation will be from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm on Sunday at Rembs Funeral Home and from 9:30 am until service time at St. John's Catholic Church. Marlene was born on October 15, 1951 in Marshfield to Norbert and Delores (Bell) Spindler and was a 1969 graduate of Stratford High School. She also was a graduate of Mid State Technical College, Marshfield, where she received a degree in Medical Transcription.She was united in marriage to Joel R. "Butch" Weber on July 31, 1976 at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, Rozellville. He passed away on October 6, 2015. Together, Marlene and Butch farmed, and Marlene had also been employed as a medical transcriptionist at the Marshfield Clinic for almost 30 years until her retirement.Marlene was a loving and supportive wife, mother and grandmother. She loved reading, traveling and spending time with family and friends. Being a grandmother brought her great joy; she cherished the time spent with her grandkids the most. Incredibly strong and caring, she provided a listening ear to anyone in need. Marlene weathered the good and the bad with an enduring upbeat outlook. While she will forever be missed, Marlene will finally be at peace with the love of her life, Butch. Marlene is survived by her children, Sarah (Nick) Slipka of Chippewa Falls, Renee (Brad) Wojciechowski of Madison and Scott Weber of Marshfield. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Hannah and Graysen Slipka and Emerson and Campbell Wojciechowski. She is further survived by her brothers and sisters, Gene (Bonnie) Spindler of Waunakee, Roger (Phyllis) Spindler of Stratford, Al (Barb) Spindler of Stratford, Steve (Candy) Spindler of Marshfield, George Spindler of Stratford, Marie (Mike) Schueller of Edgar and Jan (Ray) Kahan of Marathon City, her mother-in-law, Bernadine Weber of Marshfield and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, niece Jessica Binder and her father-in-law, Joseph Weber. Memorials may be designated in Marlene's name to the Spastic Paraplegia Foundation.Condolences may be sent online to www.rembsfh.com
