Marjorie Jean Miller Nagle1937-2016Marjorie Jean Miller Nagle, of Houston, passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2016. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at St. John the Divine Episcopal Church chapel, 2450 River Oaks Blvd, Houston, TX 77019. Margie was born on July 3, 1937 to Milward and Mary Kent Miller and was raised in Midland, TX. She attended Texas Christian University and the
University of Texas, where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority. Margie graduated from the University of Houston with bachelor's degree in Education. She was a teacher at St. Mark's Episcopal School for 10 years and loved her students and the friends she made there. Margie was also an avid bridge player and achieved a Life Master rank. Margie was well read and loved to attend authors' readings and discuss books with her family and friends. The most important part of her life was her relationship with her daughters. Through Margie's constant support and love, her daughters learned to be independent and resilient. Her positive personality brought her through life's challenges, and she enjoyed a happy and full life. She is survived by her daughters, Lisa Nagle Kelley and husband, Charles of Boerne, TX, Frana Nagle Farrell of Salado, TX, Mary Nagle-Perkins and her husband, Steve of Dallas, TX, and Emily Nagle Mazac and husband, Mark of Austin, TX; grandchildren, Patrick Kelley, Marshal Kelley, Meghan Farrell, Molly Farrell, Tyler Nagle-Perkins, Adam Nagle-Perkins, Marilyn Mazac, and Anna Mazac, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Milward and Mary Kent Miller of Midland, TX, sisters Marilyn Hanson of Midland, TX, Mary Jane Andrews of Alexandria, LA, her brother Kent Miller of Kerrville, TX, and her nephew Eric Hanson of Midland, TX. Margie's daughters would like to thank her friends, who helped so much with weekly visits and care. We also want to thank her care team at Vitas for their compassion and attention.
