Marjorie Heitkamp MarshAge: 96 • Vergennes, VT/Summit, NJMarjorie Heitkamp Marsh, 96 of Vergennes, VT and Summit, NJ passed away peacefully on March 16th 2017 at Ringer's Home Care in Vergennes.She was born on June 30, 1920 in Bronx, NY to Frank & Natalie (Miller) Zimmermann. She worked as a buyer at Dennison's in NYC on 5th Avenue during WWII.She also worked at American Bank Note. In 1942 she married Frederick P. Heitkamp. They moved to Summit and joined Central Presbyterian Church in 1946.She was a homemaker for many years. Marge sang in the motet choir, was a deacon, active in the church woman's group, did many years of volunteer workat the church and the Summit library. She was a member of the Fortnightly Club, Summit Historical Society, the Arboretum and delivered Meals on Wheels. She made a difference in many lives.After the loss of her husband Fred in 1967, she worked at Eastman's Card and Camera shop and later at the Summit Card Shop. In 1972 she married John L. Marsh.They had many years together traveling and spending time with family. In 2006 she moved to Vermont to be near her three children. She is survived by two sons, Philip Heitkamp and wife Kathy, David Heitkamp and wife Linda, and a daughter Susan(Heitkamp) Snyder and husband Jesse, two step sons, Alan Marsh and wife Beth, Chas Marsh and a step daughterAndrea Greenslade. She has 17 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by Fredrick P.Heitkamp, John L. Marsh, a brother Frank A. Zimmermannand sister Jane Gallik.
