Mickelson, MarionMarion Frances Mickelson, 98, of Algoma passed away peacefully at Algoma Long Term Care on December 30, 2016. She was born on November 6, 1918 in Algoma to the late Joseph and Anna (Hucek) Englebert. She was a graduate of Algoma High School. On June 22, 1938 she married Orville Mickelson at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Algoma. He preceded her in death on December 17, 1995. Marion enjoyed visiting with her family, shopping, going for rides, and having coffee.Marion is survived by her children Mary Ann (Glen) Schabow, Appleton, and John "Jack" Mickelson, Noblesville, IN; six grandchildren Laura (Tom) Hinshaw, Tim Mickelson, Lisa (Ty) Wamsley, Linda (Mark) Florey, Jeremy (Nancy) Schabow, and Adam (Carrie Simon) Schabow; 10 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.Marion was preceded in death by one daughter-in-law Nancy Mickelson; one sister Lillian (Frank) Petrina; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Forest (Murial) Mickelson, Amy (Richard) Kagel, and Emil (Betty) Mickelson; as well as nieces and nephews.Visitation will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Algoma on Tuesday January 3, 2017 from 9:15 a.m. to 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 a.m. with Father Peter Stryker officiating.
