Marion L. Bizzoso, age 91, of Inverness, FL passed away December 13, 2016 at Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast, Lecanto. Marion was born on August 19, 1925 in Manhattan, N.Y. to the late Thomas and Marion (Rapps) Allen. She married Arthur "Art" Bizzoso on October 29, 1955 with whom she shared 61 loving years of marriage. Marion and Art made Citrus County their home in 1982 after relocating from Farmingdale, N.Y. but continued to spend their summers at their summer home in Hartwick, N.Y. for many years thereafter. A Lutheran by faith, Marion attended services at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Hernando, FL and had worked as Manager of a Bakery throughout her life. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing Mahjong and volunteering much of her time to her church and community. Marion was head of the Fellowship Committee for Good Shepherd Lutheran and organized many events for the church. She also volunteered a great deal of her time with Ginger West at the Family Resource Center in Hernando, FL. Marion was an exceptional cook and a wonderful housekeeper and caretaker of her home. She will be remembered as a loving wife and a wonderful mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed by her loved ones.In addition to her husband Art, those left to mourn Marion's passing include sons: Douglas Dzinski (Kathy) and Arthur S. Bizzoso both of Long Island, N.Y.; grandchildren: Shaun and Danielle; and great grandchildren: Kaylee, Zander and Lalia. Marion was preceded in death by 2 daughters: Barbara Dzinski and Katherine Dzinski; and 3 brothers: Robert Allen, Richard Allen and Charles Allen.Marion's family will receive friends in visitation on Sunday, December 18, 2016 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the Chas E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL. A Funeral Service of Remembrance will take place the following day on Monday, December 19, 2016 at 11:00 AM from the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Hernando, FL with Reverend Kenneth Blyth officiating. Burial to follow the service at 2:30 PM at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. Arrangements are under the direction of the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, FL.
