Marilyn Elizabeth Dewester1928 - 2015Marilyn Elizabeth (Nee: Willems) Dewester, 86, of Onalaska, Wis., passed away on July 12, 2015, at home after a year long battle with cancer.She was born on Sept. 25, 1928, in Kenosha, the daughter of Matthew and Helen (Sahs) Willems. On March 15, 1947, she married Clarence Dewester. They were married for 55 years until his death in April, 2002.Marilyn attended St. George Catholic School, Washington Jr. High, Bradford High School and Kenosha Vocational School.She attended Lutheran Church.In her younger years, she was employed for several years by Jockey International. She also worked at Abbott Labs for five years.Marilyn enjoyed collecting and making dolls. She mostly enjoyed playing Bingo with her friend, Betty.She is survived by her children, Paul (Lois) Dewester of Onalaska, Lynda (Todd) Jacobs of Kenosha and Gary Dewester of Florida; grandchildren, Timothy Dewester, Jennifer Schweinsberg (nee: Belongia), Paul F. Dewester Jr., David (Ashley) Dewester and Marc L. Jacobs. She is also survived by her great grandchildren, Brittany Jacobs, Jason M. Tomlin, Jr., Caleb Dewester, Sebastian, Isabell, Austin and Addison Dewester.She is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence in 2002; sons, David in 1957 and Larry in 2014 and by a brother, Ralph Willems in 2014. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, July 17, at Coulee Regional Cremation Group and Funeral Home, 133 Mason St., Onalaska. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the service at the funeral home.Interment in St. Petersburg, Fla., Veterans Memorial Cemetery, near her husband, Clarence.Marilyn was a loving mother and grandma. Her favorite quote was "Oh for Pete Sake!"
