Schwartje, Marianne R.MADISON- Marianne R. Schwartje (Krenz) passed away on Monday, April 10, 2017 at the age of 77. She was born on August 18, 1939 in Saginaw, MI, the daughter of Robert and Margarete Krenz. Marianne was a graduate of Arthur Hill High School, Class of 1957. She went on to attend Michigan State University where she was a member of Gamma Phi Beta sorority, and in 1961, she received her Bachelor of Arts. It was also in 1961 that she married John Schwartje. After graduation from MSU, Marianne became a Business Education teacher in Freeland, Michigan and later Bangor, Wisconsin. In 2016, she moved to Madison to be closer to her family. Marianne enjoyed cooking, Sudoku puzzles, and a great hand of cribbage. She will be forever missed by those fortunate enough to have known her. Marianne is survived by her daughters Anne Cory (Pat) and Ellen Roeder; grandchildren Evan and Elliot Cory; sister Roberta Morey (Don); and many other relatives and dear friends. She will also be dearly missed by her granddoggies Lyla and Luna.
