WEISGERBER, Marian JoyceMarian passed away peacefully at Grace Hospice in Regina, SK on Friday, December 23, 2016 at the age of 85 years. She was predeceased by her parents Alex and Mary Weisgerber; brother Bert; sisters Joan Weisgerber and Annette Boehm; and brother-in-law Joe Zyla. Marian is survived by her brother Don (Kristine) Weisgerber; sisters Grace Zyla and Maddy (Len) Mastel; brother-in-law Frank Boehm; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Marian was born on the farm near Vibank, SK on June 3, 1931. After completing her schooling she moved to Regina and worked at Simpsons for a short time before moving to J.I. Case Co. where she was employed for 25 years. Marian loved to socialize and would talk to anyone. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, scratching Lotto tickets and especially playing Bingo. She participated in almost all of the social activities offered at the senior's complex where she lived for the past six years. Marian was an avid Saskatchewan Roughrider and Toronto Blue Jays fan following them faithfully for decades. She gave generously to numerous charities especially ones that helped needy children around the world. Most of all, Marian loved her family with all her heart and her family loved her. She will be greatly missed. A VISITATION will be held at Regina Funeral Home and Cemetery, Hwy #1 East, Regina, SK on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. A FUNERAL MASS will be held at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, 425 Broad Street North, Regina, SK on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society, 1910 McIntyre Street, Regina, SK S4P 2R3 or Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan, 1738 Quebec Avenue Unit 26, Saskatoon, SK S7K 1V9.
