Margarita A. Gallegos, 72, a longtime resident of Las Vegas, passed away on Monday, Oct. 19, 2015 in Las Vegas.She was born on June 18, 1943, to Luis Gallegos and Sara Mora in Trujillo.She loved crocheting (knitting), spending time with her sisters playing pokino and being with all her nieces and nephews. A Catholic, she was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church.She was preceded in death by her mother: Sara Mora; maternal grandparents: Gregorio and Pablina Mora; niece: Baby Gloria Jaramillo; uncle: Jerry Mora Sr.; and special brother-in-law: Juan Jaramillo.She is survived by her sisters: Cecilia Jaramillo and Lugarda Gallegos both of Las Vegas; nieces and nephews: Polly and Leroy Baca and family, Darlene and Miguel Varela and family, Sarah Gallegos and Floyd Montaño and family, Gabriel and Amanda Gallegos and family, Rosalie Jaramillo and Dale Bell and family, JoAnn and David Campbell and family, all of Las Vegas, Pete and Linda Jaramillo and family of Ranchita, Calif., Benito and Angela Jaramillo of Guadalupita, Hazel and Ray Baca; James Jaramillo and Darlene Martinez and family, all of Las Vegas, Marylou Jaramillo and Adrian Flores and family of Roswell, Juan Jaramillo Jr. of Las Vegas; five very special nieces and nephews: Izabella, Alysha and Brianna Montaño, Haileigh and Gabriel II Gallegos; special cousin: Jerry Mora Jr.; special friends: Della Urioste, Theresa Gonzales and Pita Ortiz.Rosary services were held 7 p.m. on Thursday at Rogers Chapel and at 7 p.m. today (Friday) at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Las Vegas. Funeral Service will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday also at Our Lady of Sorrows Church with Father John Ansiudu as celebrant. Interment will follow at San Jose Cemetery in Las Vegas with the following serving as casket bearers: Juan Jaramillo Jr., Gabriel Gallegos, James Jaramillo, Miguel Varela, Floyd Montaño and Leroy Baca.
