Margaret Wilhite LUBBOCK-Margaret Wilhite passed away Monday, Oct. 31, 2016. We will gather for fellowship and remembrance from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3, 2016, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life of 83 years on Friday, Nov. 4, 2016, at 2 p.m. at Lake Ridge Chapel. Margaret Wilhite was born on May 1, 1933, to Lee and Virgie Rucker in Slaton, Texas. She worked as a bookkeeper for Lubbock Wrecker Service for 31 years retiring in Oct. of 2000. Margaret married Ray Wilhite on Dec. 16, 1950, in Clovis, NM. Ray and Margaret were married for 63 years before his passing on their 63rd wedding anniversary on Dec. 16, 2013. Survivors include their children, Barbara Ann Patterson and husband, Tommy, Terry Ray Wilhite and wife, Kathye, and Belinda Wilhite Jackson and husband, Bradford; grandchildren, Kelly Franklin, Jamie Poe and husband, Jason, TJ Wilhite, Tasha Pulliam and husband, Bobby, Brad Jackson; great-grandchildren, Brian Webster, Brandon Webster, Charity Wilhite Philips, Kyndale Poe, Hunter Poe, and Ashton Pulliam. She is also survived by her brother, Sonny Rucker. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Wilhite who passed on Dec. 16, 2013; her son, Timmy Lynn Wilhite who passed on April 25, 1985; her grandson, Jacob Wilhite who died in March of 2014; her father and mother; and three sisters.
