Nov 10, 1940 - Jan 26, 2015

This obituary is administered by:
MARCIA JEAN (Minerich) BogachusMarcia Jean Bogachus passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, July 26, 2015 after a three year battle with cancer. She was born on November 10, 1940 in Ronald, WA to Frank 'Peanuts' and Mary Minerich.Marcia went to grade school in Ronald graduation from the 8th grade in 1954 and from Cle Elum High School in 1958 with Songleader, Majorettes, High School Historian and FHA Honors.Marcia married her high school sweetheart, Ed Bogachus on June 21, 1958 and made a home in Nelson Siding where they farmed and raised two daughters. Marcy worked over the years at JCPenney in Cle Elum, Mountain Auto Parts, Sears & Roebuck and Coast to Coast. When her daughters were young, she was a 4-H leader.Marcy was an organizer involved in many clubs - officer in all. Dearest to her heart was the Roslyn-Ronald-Cle Elum Heritage Club where she was secretary and treasurer and was instrumental in establishing the east side chapter of the Roslyn-Ronald-Cle Elum Heritage Club, which started in 2003 and acquiring a grant to rebuild the "new" Coal Miners Memorial Wall erected in 2005. She was also a member and secretary of the CFU #56-Croation Lodge and on the board of directors of the Ronald Community Club. She liked to be active and involved behind the scenes. An all around "care taker" of the club.Marcy firmly believed in "preserving your heritage". In 2005 she published a book, "From Old Country to Coal Country", that included stories from The Heritage Club members. Since she was born in Ronald, Marcy also wrote, in 2010, the book "Ronald Remembered" a complete history and story of Ronald, with all proceeds going to the Ronald Community Club. She spearheaded designing and installing the "Welcome to Ronald" and "Hawthorne Hall" signs as well.Marcy loved fishing, hunting and camping with her husband, family and friends. She enjoyed reading, cooking and baking and especially loved her family who lived nearby.Marcy is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, daughters Renee Graham and Kimilee (Doug) OIver, grandson Weslee Graham, her sister France Davis, sister-in-law Laurie (Tony) Caluisky, many nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends and acquaintances. At Marcy's request, there will be no memorial service. Graveside services will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to be made to The or The Ronald Community Club.
