She was also a member and secretary of the CFU #56-Croation Lodge and on the board of directors of the Ronald Community Club. She liked to be active and involved behind the scenes. An all around "care taker" of the club.Marcy firmly believed in "preserving your heritage". In 2005 she published a book, "From Old Country to Coal Country", that included stories from The Heritage Club members. Since she was born in Ronald, Marcy also wrote, in 2010, the book "Ronald Remembered" a complete history and story of Ronald, with all proceeds going to the Ronald Community Club. She spearheaded designing and installing the "Welcome to Ronald" and "Hawthorne Hall" signs as well.Marcy loved fishing, hunting and camping with her husband, family and friends.
