Mamie A. KoppSeptember 14, 1918 - November 8, 2016YorkMamie A. (Riddle) Kopp, 98, passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at SpiriTrust Lutheran the Village at Kelly Drive surrounded by her family. She was the loving wife of the late Ray E. Kopp, who passed away in 2012.Mamie was born on September 14, 1918 in Harrisonburg, VA, the daughter of the late Quentin H. and Lydia (Heatwole) Riddle. She graduated from Dayton High School in 1935 and went on to work for Dentsply Dental Factory, Bair Sewing factory, and as the Assistant Post Master at Bair Station. When not working or taking care of her family, she loved to spend her time completing crossword puzzles and participating in the activities at SpiriTrust Lutheran. Mamie is survived by her daughter, Linda Koons and husband, Thomas of York; sisters-in-law, Bernice Beal and Mary Kopp; granddaughter, Elizabeth Koons Strickland; grandson, David T. Koons; great-grandson, Lucas Strickland; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her son, Martin L. Kopp; brother, Raymond Riddle; half-brother, Harry Riddle; sisters, Kathryn Brown, Cleta Senft, Goldie Strayer, and Margie Bare; and half-sisters. Fannie Price, Jessie Maphis, Jeanette Goodwin, Pearl Atkinson, and Nyna Teal.A funeral service in celebration of her life will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at Saint Paul Lutheran Church, 250 Trinity Rd., York, with Rev. Paul Gausmann officiating. Following the service she will be laid to rest next to her husband at St. Paul Wolf's Church Cemetery. A gathering will be held on Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. The family services are under the direction of Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service Inc. of Spring Grove.In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory can be made to Saint Paul Lutheran Church, 250 Trinity Rd., York, PA 17408, or SprirTrust Lutheran the Village at Kelly Drive Activities Department, 750 Kelly Dr., York PA 17404.There will be a memorial service, which will be announced next week, to be held at SprirTrust Lutheran the Village at Kelly Drive, 750 Kelly Dr., York, PA 17404, for those who could not attend her funeral on Friday.
