Malcom A. HarnerMelbourne, FLMalcolm A. Harner, 95, a Pearl Harbor survivor, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2017.He was born on January 22, 1921 in Littlestown, to the late William and Bertha (Baughman) Harner.Malcolm was a former longtime resident of Hanover and Littlestown. He would gather with his friends for breakfast at the McDonald's in Hanover and worked out at the 2000 Club five days a week. He was one of the last Pearl Harbor survivors in York County and was active in the
VFW.His family includes his daughter and son in law, Linda and Melvin Mills; brother, Robert Harner; sister, Joanna Linwood; and brother, Lloyd Harner. He was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Geneva; brothers, Rodney Harner, Earl Harner, Fred Harner and George Harner; and sisters, Catherine Mitz and Mary Rentzel.Memorial contributions in Malcolm's name can be made to Hospice of St. Francis Foundation, 4875 North Wickham Road, Melbourne, FL 32940.Arrangements by Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral Care.
