RACINE - Mae Etta Martin passed away Friday, December 23, 2011 at Ridgewood Care Center. She was born on July 12, 1912 in Taylor, Miss. daughter of the late West and Idella (nee: Thompson) Fondren. Mae Etta was united in marriage to Kermit Martin who preceded her in death in 1991. Mae Etta was a homemaker and a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and fishing. Survivors are her children, QV (Collie) Tyson of Cleveland, Ohio, Lillie M. Luster of Indianapolis, Ind., Earlie M. Briscoe, Earlene (Wesley) Egerson, Bernice (David) Wilson, Zannie B. Martin, and Frank L Martin all of Racine; 36 Grandchildren; 67 Great Grandchildren; 21 Great-Great-Grandchildren; one Great-Great -Great Grandchild; sisters-in-law, Mae Helma Mason of Racine, Lillie Martin of Brentwood, Calif. and Annie Martin of Taylor, Miss; brothers-in-law, Joe E. Martin of Taylor, Miss., and Roy Martin of Brentwood, Calif.; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents and husband, shealso was preceded in death by two sons, Charles and Arnold Martin; two sisters, Yender and Tesh Fondren; three brothers, Wester, Rance and Bebe Fondren; daughter-in-laws, Betty, Julie and Mary Martin; seven brother-in-laws; and five sisters-in-law. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 30, 2011, 11 a.m., at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 1120 Grand Ave. with Bishop LL Kirby officiating. Visitation will be on Friday at the church from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Interment will be held at the Yacoma Cemetery, Taylor, Miss.
