Marian was born on December 18, 1930, in Oakland, California to her parents Mark and Roxie Yeram. She was the youngest of two daughters. Her sister, Violet, preceded her in death in 1988. At the age of four, the family moved to San Jose, and shortly after her parents opened their first restaurant, Mark's Hotdogs. She was a shy, young girl, but her personalty truly began to blossom when working with customers at the restaurant. After her father, Mark, had a stroke, Marian decided to focus on helping her family and their business. Once her father passed away, she worked as a bank teller for many years to help support her family. In 1964, Marian's cousin, Virginia Sarabian, convinced her to visit Fresno to go on a blind date with a handsome farmer from Selma, CA, named Harvey. On October 2, 1965, she moved away from the big city of San Jose, got married to Harvey and settled to their ranch in a little town called Laton. In 1966, they were blessed with their first son, Harry. In 1974, they had a surprise blessing with their second son, Jeffrey. During their fourteen years living in Laton, Harvey was busy building his farming business while Marian took care of all the paperwork and their children. In the summer of 1979, they finished their dream home and moved to the ranch in Selma. In addition to being a loving, full time mother, wife and amazing cook, she was heavily involved with St. Gregory Church in Fowler. However, her true passion was playing cards. Marian loved her many friends she played cards with, and she even made a card player out of Harvey. She spent countless hours with her various card groups or going to a casino and always said she played to help keep her brain sharp...which it was until the very end. In 2001, they were blessed with their only granddaughter Shayla. The following year their twin grandsons, Sloan and Spencer, were born. Marian always loved babies, but her three little grandchildren brought her the most joy. Marian died exactly how she wanted: peacefully at her home of over 37 years while knowing her husband is left in good hands with family and friends. Marian is survived by her husband of 51 years; their sons, Harry and Jeffrey; their daughter-in-law Pam; and their three loving grandchildren, Shayla, Sloan and Spencer. Visitation will be held at Yost & Webb Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 2, 2016, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at St. Gregory Armenian Apostolic Church in Fowler, CA, on Thursday, November 3, 2016, at 10:30 a.m.
