RACINE - Lula Mae Scott, age 90, passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at her residence. She was born on March 26, 1926 in Tupelo, Mississippi daughter of the late John and Birdie (Nee: Corother) Dillard. Lula was united in marriage to Will Scott on November 22, 1949, who preceded her in death on October 21,1994. She was employed at the Danish American Home for 41 years until her retirement in 2005. She was a member of Greater Mount Eagle Baptist Church and the Eastern Star. Surviving are her sons, L.C. Rucker, Stephen (Tina) Scott; 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; sister, Florine Hall. In addition to her parents and husband, she also was preceded in death by four daughters, Margaret Sacottie, Flora Mae Scott, Daisy Pearl Scott, Yvonne Scott; 3 brothers, John Mack McKinley, Ira Dillard, Chris Dillard, sister Christeen Kimble and daughter-in-law, Margaret A. Rucker. Funeral Services will be held at Greater Mt. Eagle Missionary Baptist Church, 929 State Street, on Wednesday August 10, 2016, 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Keith T. Evans officiating. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery. Relatives and friends are welcome to meet with the family at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. A very special thank you to Lillard and Patricia Darby for their friendship and loving and compassionate care.
