Lucille LeBlanc HebertLafayette, LA - A Celebration of Life, Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, February 11,2017 at 10:00 AM in the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist for Lucille Mae (LeBlanc) Hebert, 88, who passed away peacefully around 6:30 PM Sunday, February 5, 2017 at Lady of the Oaks Nursing Home. Fr Chester Arceneaux, pastor of Cathedral will be the Celebrant of the Mass. Lou has donated her body to the LSU Bureau of Anatomical Services in New Orleans, La. Lou was a native of Iota,La. born on May 18, 1928 to the late Gaston and Beatrice Lina LeBlanc. She graduated in 1944 from St. Francis School in Iota. She came to Lafayette where she attended University of Southwest Louisiana now ULL and Spencer Business College. She worked at KVOL radio station while attending USL. She met "Henry John Hebert, Sr." on a blind date, and later married on August 7, 1948. Lou worked at Affiliated Tire with her brother in law, Ray Cart. She also did modeling with About Faces in Lafayette. She was a member of the Soundwaves under Kenny Bowen. She did Volunteer work at Fatima Church under Fr. Richard Greene and did Volunteer work at the Children's Museum. She was a member of the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist Church Parish. Survivors include her seven children. Peter Hebert Sr and his wife Sherri. Andrew (Andy) Hebert of Lafayette. Barbara Hoard and husband Mark of Palm Coast, Fl. Charles (Greg) Hebert and his wife Linda of Santa Rosa Beach, Fl. Elizabeth (Betty) Trahan and her husband Jimmy of Lafayette. Donna Hebert of Tulsa, OK and Henry John Hebert Jr of New Haven, CT. Her sister Joann Quirk and her husband Paul of Stillwater, OK. Sister-in-law Jeanne Domingue of Lafayette and 12 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Henry John Hebert, Sr. Her parents Gaston and Beatrice Lina LeBlanc, brothers Bus and Jack LeBlanc. Her sisters Trixie Cart, Emma Sanchez, and Bobbie Ronkartz. The family offers their heartfelt appreciation to the staff of Lady of the Oaks and all others for all their comfort and care for Mom. You are all "Special Angels" on this earth. The family asked that in lieu of flowers a memorial donation be made in her name to Louisiana Alzheimers's Association , 7732 Goodwood Blvd., Suite 110, Baton Rouge, La. 70806
