Louise Emma Zapolski, 92, of Montrose, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 20, 2016, at her home. Her husband, Steven F. Zapolski, predeceased her.She was born on January 16, 1924 in Bridgewater Twp., to the late Nelson and Clara (Chamberlain) Sivers. Surviving are her children, Gary (Mary Ellen) Zapolski, Sherry Severs, Robert Zapolski, Barbara Cherry, Sandy Schwenk; grandson with whom she lived, Scott Zapolski; sister, Velma Hall; several grandchildren; great grandchildren; great-great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Connie Camp; son, Jonathon Zapolski; grandson, Daniel Zapolski; siblings, Guy Sivers, Tracy Sivers, Bernice Babcock; and half-siblings, Percy Wheelock and Ruth Kromer.Louise was a loving and caring person who loved her family dearly. She and her husband took in many foster children and treated them like their own; they eventually adopted three of those children. Louise enjoyed cooking, baking and embroidery.A Funeral Service was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 24, 2016, at the Daniel K. Regan Funeral Home, with the Rev. Richard Spering officiating. Interment is in the Fairdale Cemetery.
