RODRIGUE, Louis GeorgeDecember 6, 1929 ~ October 24, 2016It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Louis George Rodrigue of Leduc, AB at the age of 86 years.George passed away on Monday, October 24, 2016 in Edmonton, AB. He was born on December 6, 1929 near Mildred, SK to Juliette and Joseph. He lived his childhood on the family's homestead and on April 12, 1955 he married Rita Elizabeth Willick in Marcelin, SK. Together they had four children. George's occupation took his family many places around the world which was an adventure and a great education for his whole family. George retired to Leduc in 1992, and spent an active retirement as a member of The Funseekers Club, The Royal Canadian Legion, The Happy Homesteaders Square Dancing Club, Knights of Columbus, and he volunteered at many community events. George will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 61 years Rita; children Tim (Eileen), Pandy (Dale), Glen (Theresa), Sandra (Wayne); 15 grandchildren, Jeff (Shelly), Colette (Brian), Miranda (Dan), Amber (Steve), Shane (Charleen), Trina (Kiel), Jared (Ela), Shelby, Myra (Cody), Luc (Megan), Grace, Mathieu, William, Caleb, and Michael; 17 great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.George was predeceased by his parents Juliette and Joseph and his two sisters Georgette and Louise.
