Martin, Louis J. ,85, passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2017 while at Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital.Louis was born on January 23, 1932 in Louisville, to the late Jay and Nellie Martin. He served our country in the U.S. Air Force and retired after 40 years from Ford Motor Company. Louis was also a member of Preston Masonic Lodge #281, and the Order of Eastern Star Purity 116. Along with his parents; his first wife, Betty Jo Martin and his sister, Carol Campbell has preceded him in death. Here to carry on his memory are his wife of 24 years, Sarah Vissman Martin; children, Sharon Wilmot, Dawn Vittitow (Jeff), Gina Whitlock (James) and Andrew Martin (Nicole); along with seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Visitation will take place Friday, April 7, 2017 from 1-8pm at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road. The service will take place at 12pm Saturday at the funeral home, with entombment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Parkinson's Association or the KY Humane Society.
