Berger , Louis J.Louis Berger, 96, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at his apartment at Moraine Ridge surrounded by his family. He was born on April 14, 1921, in Duval, WI, one of 14 children, to the late Louie and Cornelia (Johnson) Berger. He married Margaret "Margie" Dubois on February 11, 1941, and had two children together. He was employed as a milk hauler for Evangeline Milk for 20 years and Algoma Hardwoods as a machine operator before retiring. Louis is survived by his daughter, Ruth Ann (Lewellen) LaLuzerne; grandchildren, Carren (Randy) Quaintance, Lori (Mark) Williams, John (Julie) Berger; seven great grandchildren, Josh (Amber-Ann) Quaintance, Amber (Zach) Olmsted, Lindsey and Greg Grocholski, Allison and Kristin Williams (special friend Jacob), Justin Berger (special friend Krysta), and Michael Berger; one sister-in-law, Agnes Berger; a brother-in-law, Richard Mertens along with many nieces and nephews. He is further survived by his special friend, Bertha Delveaux. He is preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Margaret Berger; son, David (Norma) Berger; grandson, Gregory LaLuzerne, his parents and mother and father-in-law; brothers and their wives, Henry (Josie), Elmer (Josie), Eli (Mabel), Harris (Norma), Andrew (Victoria), and Lawrence Berger and his sisters and their husbands, Alice (Joe) DeJardin, Rose (Kermit) Conard, Lucy (Joe) Virlee, Annie (Harry) LeCloux, Madeline (Louie) Rass, Arlene (Hamlin) Mertens and Evelyn Mertens. Friends may call at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E Mason St., on Friday, April 28, 2017, 3:00 p.m. until the time of funeral service. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
