Mr. Lorenzo Davis, 

Lorenzo Davis, Jr. was born to the late Lorenzo Davis, Sr. and Violet Love Davis on April 23,

1952 in Hamtramck, MI. He was the eldest of four children. He passed away after complications

from a lengthy medical condition.

He was educated in the Detroit Public School System and was a roofer by trade. He also

worked several other jobs over the years, the last being a Supervisor at Midwest Wire in

Ferndale, MI.

Lowe or Jr. as he was affectionately known by family and friends loved to dress.

He also loved to eat and was an excellent cook. He loved to barbeque and listen to his jazz,

R&B, and old school.

He accepted Christ as his personal savior and was baptized at the Hopewell Missionary Baptist

Church Detroit in 2014.

Besides his parents, Lorenzo was preceded in death by sons Lorenzo Davis, III, Jamaar

Brooks, Sr., twin daughters Markea and Marcia Brooks, brother Jerome Davis, sister Andrea

Davis, and stepmother Addie Davis.

He leaves to cherish his memories his companion of 39 years, Coryliss Brooks, four sons

Kenneth Williams, Charles Brooks, Sr.(Anastasha), Johnny Williams, Brian Brooks (Olivia), four

daughters Vira Reed, Tamica Brooks, Kareatha Reed, and LaJean, one brother Evan Davis

(Joann) of Cincinnati, OH one aunt Evelyn Gray, grandchildren including Lorenzo Davis, IV,

Autumn Sinuel, Charles Brooks, Jr., Amauri Brooks, Cam’ren-Chance Brooks, Jamaar Brooks,

Jr., Bella Brooks(“Miss B”), Remell Carter, May Janae Pruitt, Taiwan Carter, Shania Mize,

Martez Mize, great grandchildren including Raheem Pruitt, Hakeem Pruitt, and Melody Carter. A

host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
