Vander Zanden, LoisLois Mae Vander Zanden, age 95, died Wednesday, July 26, 2017, at New Perspective Senior Living. She was born on December 19, 1921, to the late Matt and Ruth (Heigel) Leiberg, and was raised in Oakfield, Wis. She attended UW-Madison and earned both a Bachelors and Masters degree in Psychology. In 1946 she married Norbert L. VanderZanden and resided in Green Bay.She worked as a tutor in her home while raising her family, assisting both children and adults with special needs. She was a past member of Oneida Country Club and Coterie Dance Club, and played a mean game of bridge up until shortly before her death. She was an avid dog lover, raising a series of three West Highland Terriers over the years, Tuffy, Corky, and Duffy. She was a past member of St. Matthews and Resurrection Parishes. Some of her favorite times were spent at her second home in DeLand, Florida. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Sally, Menominee, Michigan; Jeffrey and Barbara, Green Bay; grandchildren Matt (Natalie) VanderZanden, Florida; Emily (Scott) Loscheider, Lexington, Kentucky; Lisa VanderZanden, Green Bay; and Krista VanderZanden, Madison; one great-grandchild, Vander Loscheider. Further survived by brothers-in-law Tom (Marlene) VanderZanden, and Larry DeGroot, and sister-in-law Marilyn Mackin.She was preceded in death by her husband, Norbert, in 2002; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Bob and Janet VanderZanden, John VanderZanden, Jeanne DeGroot and Mary Fran VanderZanden.Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM - 10:30 AM, Friday, August 4, 2017, with Funeral at 10:30 am at Resurrection Catholic Church, 333 Hilltop Drive, Green Bay.
