Linda Lee AthertonAge: 67 • ColchesterLinda Lee Atherton, 67, of Colchester died on Wednesday, November 2, 2017 at home following a long illness.She was born on August 6, 1950 in Middlebury, VT, the daughter of the late Gabriel and Josephine Beaudin. She was a graduate of South Burlington High School, class of 1968. Called "Beau" by her friends, it was there that, through sports, she discovered her love of competition and her passion to excel in all her endeavors.She was employed for many years at the Farrell Vending Company. After her time there, she worked for the Visiting Nurse Association, where she found joy and purpose in helping others.She is survived by her son, Justin Atherton of Burlington; brothers Wally Howard of Vergennes, and Jeff Beaudin of Charlotte; sisters Susan Cole, and her husband Jim Warren of Lancaster S.C., Jill Wilkin and her husband Robert of Milton, Jamie Chagnon of Milton; nieces Angela Ross, and Elaine Beaudin, and nephew Mike Cole.Calling Hours will be held on Saturday November 18, 2017 from 10:00 until 12:00 noon with a memorial service starting at 12 p.m. Interment to follow in Resurrection Park Cemetery, South Burlington.
