Linda Faye Folsom-ThompsonMANSFIELD: Linda Faye Folsom-Thompson, 72, of Mansfield passed away Saturday, March 4, 2017 at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital. Linda was born on March 24, 1944 in Johnson City, Tennessee to the late Lester and Jessie (Chandler) Brooks.Linda was a graduate of Bryn Mawr Christian College in Pennsylvania. Linda was a proud United States Navy veteran. She served in the Vietnam War. Linda lived mostly in Florida and Pennsylvania while young, but has lived in many states throughout her life. She was an avid reader and enjoyed listening to all types of music. Linda was always cheerful, fun loving and enjoyed singing. She had enough love for everyone; her own children plus extended family and friends.Linda is survived by her three children, Richard Folsom, Carol Thompkins and Karlan Thompson; eight siblings, Nancy Comney, Lester (Sharon) Brooks, Clara (Dan) Dunbar, Gloria (Robert) Jones, Charlene Shoemaker V., Elizabeth (William) Rackley, Debbi (Walter) Deecki, and Richard (Stephanie) Brooks; several nieces, nephews and other family members.She is preceded in death by her parents; and a daughter-in-law, Judi Folsom.The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 11, 2017 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St. Mansfield. A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 13, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Linda will be laid to rest following at Mansfield Cemetery.
