LORAIN – Lillian Shildwachter (nee Miceli), age 97, of Lorain passed away on Friday, October 28, 2016 at Elmcroft of Lorain.She was born on September 6, 1919 in Lorain, Ohio to Joseph and Filomena Miceli and graduated from Lorain High School. Lillian was a homemaker who enjoyed playing bingo, traveling, gardening, polka music and dancing. She was a member of St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Church.She is survived by her daughters, Carol (Jack) West, of Vermilion and Joni Goldstein, of St. Louis; sons, Richard (Mary Ann) Shildwachter, of Lorain and George (Denise) Shildwachter, of Elyria; grandchildren, Lisa Mullinax, Eric West, Gina West, Amy West, Christine Aromando, Jennifer Goldstein, Wendy Daniels, Nancy Perano, Zachary Shildwachter Abby Miller, George Shildwachter Jr., Jason Shildwachter, Justin Shildwachter, and Jessica Resor; 20 great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Dorothy Renner and Joan Miceli. Lillian was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, George H. Shildwachter; parents, Joseph and Filomena; brothers, Andy, Frank and Philip Miceli; and her sisters, Mary Artman, and Angelina Ives. The Shildwachter family will receive friends on Friday, November 4, 2016 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst where funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 5th. at 10:30 a.m. Rev.
