Levona Yvette Clark entered the world to the late Helen savage on November 2, 1965. Born in Brooklyn, NY she was a smart and witty child. She was reared to love and revere God and dedicated her life to Him at an early age.

Levona received her early education in New York Public School System graduating with honors from Susan E. Wagner High School in Staten Island, NY. After graduation, she relocated to Virginia to attend Norfolk State University in pursuit of a degree in early childhood education. She completed the degree at Saint Leo University, earning a Bachelors of Science.

Levona passion for education, coupled with a love for youth, resulting in over 30 uears of teaching in Norfolk Public Schools and at Faith Academy School of Excellence. She engaged students, parents, and co-workers with kindness, embracing them with a smile that fostered a nurturing relationship. Although her illness prevented her from teaching, Levona remained in contact with faculty, staff and the families with whom she had built relationship.

In 1990, Levona married the love if her life, the late Wilbur Clark. To this union, Whitney Tanya-Marcia Clark was born. Wilbur and Levona raised Whitney to love God and pushed her to answer His call at a young age. After Wilbur passed away, Levona aimed to provide the best for Whitney. Levona loved family, those who were blood-related and those who God allowed to cross her path.

Levona will be missed by her daughter, Whitney T.M. Clark; her siblings, Freddie Mack, Jeffery Mack, Jeanine Harris, Ciara Mack, and Sylvester Savage Jr.; best friends for over 30 years, Carla Moore and Dora James; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church family, children in the gospel, work family and friends.
