Ostroski, LeonardLeonard J. Ostroski, 81, of Hatley passed away on Monday, July 24, 2017 at Mount View Care Center, Wausau under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.Leonard was born on November 26, 1935, the son of the late Joe and Anna (Olinski) Ostroski. Leonard served in the United States Army. He was united in marriage to Joan Klopotek on June 20, 1964. She preceded him in death on November 6, 2003.Together they had two children, Dan Ostroski and Sharon Glodowski. Leonard has two granddaughters, Lacey and Cassidy Glodowski. Leonard was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Anna Ostroski, his wife, Joan and his sister, Loretta Sprague.Leonard loved being outside and always had a garden. Leonard enjoyed planting pumpkins and making pumpkin pie. He enjoyed tractor shows and loved being in the woods. Family was very important to Leonard especially the time spent with his granddaughters.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at St. Florian Catholic Church, Hatley. Fr. Greg Bohren will officiate. Interment will be in the Parish Cemetery with military rites conducted by the Bloecher-Johnson American Legion Post #502.
